Recently, many customers have been asking if our toilets will fit their home plumbing. Today, let's talk about the key dimensions to consider when buying a toilet to help you make the right choice.
-
Drain Pipe Size
For rear discharge toilets, the most important thing is to check if the height of the drainage outlet matches your home’s plumbing. If it doesn't match, you can use an extendable pipe, but it may not look great and could waste some space. -
Rough-In Size for Floor Mount Toilets
This refers to the distance from the center of the drainage outlet to the front of the toilet. Most toilets have a 12-inch or 10-inch rough-in. If the rough-in is incorrect, it could either waste space or prevent installation. -
Space Saving
If your bathroom is small, consider the depth and shape of the toilet bowl. An elongated bowl is about 18.5 inches, while a round bowl is around 16.9 inches. Also, if there’s a shelf near the toilet, be sure to check the height of the tank or the overall height of the toilet.
In short, make sure your toilet size matches your plumbing for easy installation. If you have any questions, feel free to leave a comment!
