Rough-In Size for Floor Mount Toilets
This refers to the distance from the center of the drainage outlet to the front of the toilet. Most toilets have a 12-inch or 10-inch rough-in. If the rough-in is incorrect, it could either waste space or prevent installation.

If your bathroom is small, consider the depth and shape of the toilet bowl. An elongated bowl is about 18.5 inches, while a round bowl is around 16.9 inches. Also, if there’s a shelf near the toilet, be sure to check the height of the tank or the overall height of the toilet.
